i am u are is a platform conceived to present modern Ukraine and its creative economy. The first i am u are event will take place in New York on March 24–26, 2023.
During the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, one of the key ways to provide assistance to Ukraine is by supporting local businesses, showcasing their activities, and increasing its investment appeal. The i am u are project intends to present the creative and tech sectors of the Ukrainian economy to the American community and international business representatives. Ukrainian content production company WePlay Esports has become the platform’s official partner.
The first i am u are event will take place on March 24–26 in New York City (Skylight at Essex Crossing). The event will include an exhibition and presentation of more than 150 companies and startups of Ukrainian origin in categories such as fashion, technology, and culture. You can buy tickets for the event here.
“WePlay Esports has always taken a confident pro-Ukrainian position and supported ideas and projects that loudly declared about Ukraine and formed its image at the global level. Especially today it is important that the voice of Ukraine, its diverse culture, and its incredible talents be heard all over the world – this is the conviction that underlies our cooperation with i am u are. We are proud of being Ukrainians and glad to be involved in the projects that help Ukrainians grow”, comments Iryna Chuhai, chief marketing officer at WePlay Esports.
Anna Pagava, GOGŌLA Agency founder: “To the surprise of many — Ukraine is not only a country with deep historical roots but also progressive and modern, with incredible brands in tech, fashion, and lifestyle. My dream was to create an event which would correspond to this image of our country as well as its outstanding creative industry, and this is why I initiated the project. I hope our guests get to see this for themselves as well.”
Kristina Skripka, i am u are co-founder: “A year ago, we found ourselves trapped by history, but we never stopped creating history for ourselves. We soon found out that we have so much to give. For every single one of us, home is Ukraine. A beautiful place, where we grew into the people we are today. We want to share the world of our home that is Ukraine. We want the world to remember that Ukraine is protecting the values you were built upon – freedom, ideas & democracy, and remind that the war is not over.”
