WePlay Studios continues a second season as the production partner for NFL Tuesday Night Gaming.
NFL Tuesday Night Gaming (NFL TNG), the popular video gaming series created by the National Football League (NFL) and Enthusiast Gaming, has returned for Season 2. The weekly live show features NFL players and Legends teaming up with top gaming content creators to compete head-to-head across popular video game titles from various genres.
Ukrainian production company WePlay Studios is responsible for the technical implementation and production of NFL Tuesday Night Gaming Season 2 in partnership with Enthusiast Gaming. The live broadcast is hosted from the WePlay Esports Arena in Los Angeles, California — a high-security arena for innovative content production. The WePlay team works on developing and implementing the program’s live production, including designing visual and content components and creating computer graphics and augmented reality for the broadcast to create an immersive viewing experience and engaging content.
The company was also responsible for the production of the 2022-2023 pilot season of NFL Tuesday Night Gaming. For season 2, WePlay Studios has optimized the content strategy and project implementation by introducing a new approach to content creation focused on the competition participants. Before the start of the second season, Enthusiast Gaming and the NFL hosted media day events at NFL’s Champions Field and WePlay Studios to film behind-the-scenes content with NFL TNG’s participants, highlighting their personal stories and their thirst for competition. The clips will be shown throughout Season 2 episodes as talent appears.
To improve the viewer experience, project identity visual components were enhanced to make them look more expressive. The WePlay team incorporated new AR/XR set elements, so all participants look as though they are physically present in the arena, even when they are playing remotely. To create the feeling of a sporting event, the production team designed the set exclusively for NFL Tuesday Night Gaming to emulate the intersection of football and gaming culture.
