On the occasion of the International Day of People with Disability, the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) will hold an online Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) championship with the support of WePlay Holding and 2E Gaming. The fourth nationwide tournament that’s part of the #WECAN series will be held on the Compete tournament platform on December 4–5, 2021.

The emergence of an inclusive scene allows people with disability from all regions of Ukraine to learn more about esports, take part in competitions, and meet new people. The #WECAN project proves that esports has no restrictions — it’s open to everyone.

“The development of esports and its popularization among the residents of Ukraine depends on social initiatives such as the #WECAN project. We are happy to be contributing to the process and together with the UESF developing an infrastructure that will be accessible to everyone. In general, esports is a unique sport where you can feel the spirit of competition and at the same time get to know like-minded people, regardless of your age and physical fitness. We are helping everyone find a place where they can develop their skills and just enjoy the game,” says Oleksii Nogin, head of tournament operations at Compete.

“The #WECAN tournament series is still going strong, and now, together with our partners, we are holding the fourth tournament for people with disability. For us, holding these events is extremely important because the people who take part in them are very strong and fearless, they give us strength and motivate us to keep pushing esports forward in Ukraine. We invite everyone to watch the broadcasts of the tournament matches on the official channels of the Federation on Twitch — we want to make these competitions more and more large-scale and unforgettable and we will!” says UESF Chief Operating Officer Eduard Anokhin.

The championship will be held according to the double-elimination system in BO1 match format. The grand final will be BO3.
