Flames Ascent and MIBR Academy join Season 6 of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament for up-and-coming esports players, set to start on October 10. In total, 14 teams from all over the world will participate in the last season of this year.

WePlay Academy League Season 6 will start with the Group Stage, in which the teams will be distributed into two groups of seven teams each. Representatives of each group will play each other in a double round-robin system in the bo1 format. The team that shows the strongest result in its group will get a place in the Playoffs. Teams that finish second to fourth in their respective groups will compete for the remaining two spots in the Playoffs at the Gauntlet Stage.

WePlay Academy League Season 6 schedule:

  • Group Stage: October 12–28 (with possible tie-breaker on October 29). The start date was changed from October 10.
  • Gauntlet Stage: October 29–30 (in case there is a tie-breaker, the stage may be shifted by one day: October 30–31)
  • Play-off Stage: November 18–20

The matches of each stage will be held online. The total prize pool of the tournament is $100,000.
