Compete, with the support of the Ukrainian Esports Federation, will hold a tournament in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 as part of the common program for the development of esports in Ukraine.
In order to provide a platform for the growth of young talents, within the competition, a streamer contest will also be held, with the winners getting a chance to become official streamers of the Compete platform.
The goal of the tournament is to attract more young talent to the esports industry and offer them a platform to develop their skills. In an effort to popularize esports among Ukrainians, the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) became a partner of the event, providing information support to the tournament.
Any Ukrainian citizen aged 16 and over can take part in the competition as a player after completing the mandatory registration on the website: page for CS:GO players, page for Dota 2 players.
WePlay CS:GO Winter Heat tournament schedule:
- Qualification 1: December 10, 6 p.m. Kyiv time
- Qualification 2: December 11, 6 p.m. Kyiv time
- Final stage: December 12, 3 p.m. Kyiv time
The first qualification matches will be Bo1. The first two teams within their qualifications will advance to the final stage of the competition. The total prize pool of the CS:GO tournament is UAH 27,000.
WePlay Dota 2 Winter Heat tournament schedule:
- Qualification 1: December 14, 5 p.m. Kyiv time
- Qualification 2: December 15, 5 p.m. Kyiv time
- Qualification 3: December 16, 5 p.m. Kyiv time
- Qualification 4: December 17, 5 p.m. Kyiv time
- Final stage: December 18, 3 p.m. Kyiv time
The games will be played in a 5v5 format according to the single-elimination system. The two teams that show the best results within a qualification will go to the final stage, to be disputed in a Bo1 format. The match for the winner’s title will take place in a Bo3 format. The total prize pool of the Dota 2 tournament is UAH 30,000.
In addition, the tournament will host a CS:GO and Dota 2 streamers’ contest, with the winners getting a chance to become official streamers of the Compete tournament platform. The best participants will be chosen by famous Ukrainian esports streamers and casters:
- In CS:GO, the winner will be chosen by Oleksii “yXo” Maletskiy, WePlay Esports talent.
- In Dota 2, the chief judge will be Yevhen “Sh4dowehhh” Alekseiev, a professional Dota 2 player.
To take part in the streamer contest, you must fill out the participant’s questionnaire and consult the official competition rules (CS:GO, Dota 2).
