WePlay Esports has been named the winner in the Livestream Event category of the Ragan’s Video, Visual, and Virtual Awards.

Ragan’s Video, Visual & Virtual Awards celebrate the video, visual design, and virtual events that connect with audiences — no matter where they are. The nominees’ visuals and digital campaigns played a key role in communications success for organizations and audiences.

WePlay Esports was chosen from a pool of entries and got recognition in the Livestream Event category for its WePlay AniMajor case. WePlay AniMajor, the most-watched Dota 2 Major of the pandemic era, took place in Kyiv in 2021 before the russian federation’s invasion. The event stands out among esports tournaments thanks to its anime theme being a first among Dota 2 Majors.

Livestream events are always a heightened responsibility for all team members. In fact, we only had one shot to hold the event to the highest standard. WePlay AniMajor is an idea that energized every employee of the company, so the tournament was brimming with our devotion and passion. This award means WePlay AniMajor has become a legend event not only for us but also for our audience,” said Iryna Chuhai, head of marketing at WePlay Esports.

WePlay Esports set themselves apart from an outstanding field of entrants. Their work was exceptional and displayed their innovative strategies for achieving success. Congratulations, WePlay Esports. We look forward to your continued success,” said Brendan Gannon, senior marketing manager for awards programs at Ragan Communications.
