WePlay Esports is aiming to become a winner in two categories at once. The company got shortlisted in the Best Use of Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality and the Best Use of Digital from the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Sector categories for its WePlay AniMajor case.

The Dota 2 Major, which the company held in 2021, still creates a stir among leading business industry representatives thanks to its organization and quality. One of the most successful Majors during the pandemic era, it was held without spectators but managed to attract more than 600,000 peak online viewers.

Using AR technology, we blur the line between reality and the lore of a game. We make the creatures and characters leave the confines of the game to literally appear on the same stage as esports players. With each new tournament, our team tries to master more cutting-edge technologies and make the show memorable, with new unforgettable experience and atmosphere, regardless of whether spectators can be present in the arena,” says Maksym Bilonogov, chief visionary officer and general producer at WePlay Esports.

The award ceremony will take place on October 20 in London. The WePlay Esports team looks forward to the announcement of the winners and sincerely wishes good luck to all contestants.
