WePlay Esports and UESF will host the second inclusive online CS:GO tournament

#WeCan, a nationwide tournament for people with special needs, will be held from June 14 to 20 on the GG.ua online platform.

The WePlay Esports media holding company and the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) are the organizers of the tournament. The event, sponsored by HyperX, is part of the UESF social project “Esports for All”.

Promoting esports across the world and in Ukraine in particular is one of WePlay Esports’ main tasks. That’s why the holding company joined the UESF project “Esports for All”, which aims to show that esports is accessible to everyone.

“Social initiatives are as important in esports as in any industry. We are happy to be part of the UESF “Esports for All” project. Our mission is to support such events and promote them both within the esports community and beyond”, said Alena Dalskaya-Latosiewicz, Chief Communications Officer of WePlay Esports.

The first inclusive online CS:GO tournament was attended by 50 players from all the regions of Ukraine. The participants shared their impressions of the tournament and the teams, talked about the positive impact of esports and the most exciting game moments in an interview with the representatives of the Ukrainian Esports Federation. The results of the first tournament for people with special needs can be viewed on the UESF website.

Thanks to the “Esports for All” project, people with special needs now have the opportunity to become involved in the competitive world of esports, to show their strengths both as individuals and as teams. Participation in #WeCan will give them an incentive to further develop and grow and the opportunity to make new friends, communicate, share experiences, and be part of the large esports family.

The feeling of teamwork, the spirit of competition, and the desire to win should be available to absolutely everyone, so we will do everything in our power to promote the further development of this project, attract new partners as part of CSR programs and expand its geography

The #WeCan winners will get gaming equipment from HyperX:

1st place — HyperX Cloud Stinger Core Wireless 7.1 Black headphones (x5).

2nd place — HyperX Alloy Core RGB Membrane Gaming USB keyboards (x5).

3rd place — HyperX Pulsefire Surge USB Black mouses (x5).

Only citizens of Ukraine with I, II, and III degrees of disability can participate in the #WeCan online tournament. Each player has to register individually, and then, the tournament organizers will form teams based on the players’ level to maintain the balance of power between the teams.

Updated 05.21.2021: International charity foundation Keeplife is no longer a partner of the #WeCan online tournament.

Changes in the dates of the #WeCan online tournament: the event will be held from June 14 to 20, 2021. Registration has been extended until 6 p.m. June 9, 2021.
