Season 3 of the Academy will kick off on January 3, 2022, with ten participating organizations on board.

The WePlay Academy League is a league for up-and-coming esports players, launched by WePlay Esports in partnership with leading CS:GO organizations to shape new standards within the discipline and lay the ground for the players to gain first-hand competitive experience.

The first, Group Stage of the tournament will start with two double round-robin groups. The top one team from each group will proceed to the Playoff Stage, while teams placed second to fifth will compete for the vacant slots in the Gauntlet Stage. The Playoff Stage will kick off in February at the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv, Ukraine. The total prize pool of Season 3 is $100,000.

Tournament schedule:

  • Group Stage: January 3–12, 2022 (possible tiebreaker to be held on January 13)
  • Gauntlet Stage: January 14–16, 2022
  • Playoffs: February 11–13, 2022

Ten leading CS:GO organizations from all over the world will take part in this season, presenting their updated rosters. Each team must include at least four members from 16 to 21 years old. One participant over 21 years old is allowed per team.

The official partner of Season 3 is Parimatch. The tournament will be broadcast in English and Russian on WePlay Esports’ official channels (YouTube, Twitch) and the Smart TV application. The full list of channels in other languages is to be announced soon.
