WePlay Esports, the flagship company of WePlay Holding, has partnered with Sport.pl and Ukrayina.pl, popular thematic websites of Gazeta.pl, one of the largest web portals in Poland. The partnership will kick in for the Ukrainian-language broadcast of the BLAST Premier 2022 Spring Final, made by WePlay Esports. Sport.pl and Ukrayina.pl will become communication platforms for all esports enthusiasts interested in BLAST events and WePlay content.

Esports, like all aspects of life all over the world, has been affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And one of the most meaningful vectors of the industry’s evolution is the rush to develop Ukrainian-language content. WePlay Esports, a Ukraine-born esports tournament operator, is working towards spearheading this process, including by joining efforts with like-minded companies.

Polish partners have already shown great support to Ukraine and its people. Therefore, the WePlay Esports x Sport.pl x Ukrayina.pl partnership agreement is not only about esports but the overall co-development of the two countries. Since Poland has welcomed the largest number of temporarily displaced Ukrainians, providing them with an opportunity to enjoy Ukrainian-language esports content is a desired and logical next step.

“We at WePlay Holding have always focused on making esports mainstream worldwide. And to accomplish this goal, we definitely need support from the community and partners globally.

Since the very first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Polish partners have been showing great support to all of us in Ukraine and welcoming millions of our people into their country. Thus, collaborating with Polish media brands is a very ‘warm’ partnership, which we will be happy to expand in the future, beyond the Ukrainian-language broadcast of BLAST 2022 Spring Final.

We believe that by joining efforts, much greater heights can be achieved. So, together with our partners from Sport.pl and Ukrayina.pl, we will do our best to ensure that Ukrainian content gets the attention it deserves”,
says Alena Dalskaya-Latosiewicz, chief communications officer at WePlay Holding.

“We are very happy to be working with such an established brand on the European esports scene. WePlay has made a lot of high-quality broadcasts, and we have no doubt that this time will be no different. It will certainly be a successful beginning of a long partnership”, shares Patryk Stec, Head of Esports at Sport.pl.

The official Ukrainian-language broadcast of the BLAST Premier 2022 Spring Final (15–19 June 2022) will be available on WePlay Esports’ official Twitch channel.
