On June 1, 2022, on World Children’s Day, Polish gaming studio FPS Center opened its doors to Ukrainian children who are currently staying in Warsaw. The project is being implemented under the auspices of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland and the Crisis Coordination Center at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.
The main goal of the non-profit initiative is to take the youngsters’ thoughts off the war in Ukraine, be it only for it a bit, and help them immerse themselves in their favorite hobby, find friends, and adapt to their new living conditions.
“The children who have had to move to Poland due to the war in Ukraine now need special attention and support. We are happy that together we managed to implement the Day Center by AMD project, which unites Ukrainian parents and children abroad. There should be similar initiatives in other cities so every Ukrainian abroad can feel the support and get the necessary help,” said Maksym Muzychko, first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.
