EgoBoys representing South America, Peru, to join the tournament instead of Thunder Predator. Team Anvorgesa, EVOS Esports, Team Xolotl and Invictus Gaming will meet their competitors in the Semifinals.
The first day of the tournament has come to an end:
— Gorillaz Pride are leaving tournament after the loss in the match vs Team Anvorgesa;
— EVOS Esports and Geek Fam showed a very close game, but EVOS Esports took their victory over the opponent;
— Team Xolotl got a strong victory in the match over Vega Academy;
— Invictus Gaming has secured their slot in the Semifinals due to a confident victory over Royal.

The schedule of the 2nd day of WePlay! Tug of War: Dire is the following:
28 May — 23:00 CEST — Broadcast starts;
29 May — 00:00 CEST — EgoBoys vs SKOL;
29 May — 03:00 CEST — Black Sheep vs Nic Cage (ex. Young Drug Gaming);
29 May — 06:00 CEST — Neon Esports vs BOOM ID;
29 May — 09:00 CEST — Newbee vs Team Serenity.
Four teams from Asia (Mineski, MYSG, Royal Never Give Up, EHOME) and four teams from Americas (Infamous, paiN Gaming, J.Storm, beastcoast) are invited directly to the quarterfinals. All the matches, except from the final ones, will be played in a Best of 3 format. The winner of each bracket will be determined during the grand finals in the demanding Best of 5 format.
The second Dota 2 WePlay! tournament of the Tug of War series called WePlay! Tug of War: Dire started on May 28, 2019. Winners will get slots on the LAN-final at WePlay! Tug of War: Mad Moon with a total prize pool of $300,000.
