WePlay Holding is the official media partner of the charity match “Gramy dla Ukraine” hosted by Marcin Gortat

The charity basketball game, organized by the ex-NBA player Marcin Gortat, investor of Polska Esportowa Liga, will take place on June 16 at the Lodz Atlas Arena, Poland. All proceeds from ticket sales for the event will be donated to purchase food, medicine, and first aid kits for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On June 16 in Lodz, Poland, a charity basketball match “Gramy dla Ukraine” (We play for Ukraine) will take place. Within the event, all proceeds from the sales of tickets for the match will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine with food, medicine, and first aid kits. Ukrainian esports media group WePlay Holding will act as the official media partner of the match — the company will provide information support to the project. The event is organized by the Marcin Gortat Foundation, a charitable foundation created by Marcin Gortat, Polish basketball player and a longtime NBA player.
The competition will be held in a 4x4 format between the Gortat Team and WOJSKO POLSKIE. The Gortat Team is composed of young and talented athletes who are mentored by the Marcin Gortat Foundation. Active soldiers of the Polish army will play for the WOJSKO POLSKIE team.
The project is being implemented under the auspices of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland and the Crisis Coordination Center at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.

“This year, the match has a vital goal, because we will play for Ukraine. Only united will we be able to support the Ukrainians and help them resist. Thus, every visitor gets two things at once — watching a spectacular basketball show and helping those who need it most,” says Marcin Gortat, founder of the Marcin Gortat Foundation.

“This project is a prime example of how the lines between esports and traditional sports like basketball are blurring. Despite different histories and paths, our industries are creating joint projects, united by a common noble mission,” comments Alena Dalskaya-Latosiewicz, chief communications officer at WePlay Holding.
