MEGOGO media service and WePlay Esports have agreed on cooperation so FIFA World Cup 2022 matches in Ukrainian will be broadcast from the WePlay Esports studios in Kyiv.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. MEGOGO media service, Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine TV channels, Radio Promin, and the Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine “Suspilne Sport” website got the rights to broadcast the matches in Ukrainian.
WePlay Esports and MEGOGO became partners to broadcast the Championship in Ukrainian from the studios in Kyiv. This means the 2022 FIFA World Cup recording, with the participation of famous soccer players, coaches, and experts, will be made at the WePlay Esports studios.
“Our team has a long-standing reputation for welcoming challenges and the professionalism with which we approach each project. The WePlay studios in Kyiv are designed with cutting-edge technology and can be used for covering both esports events and those of other industries. This will be our pilot project involving soccer, but we will do everything in our hand to ensure that the broadcast quality is in line with the World Cup level,” says Maksym Bilonogov, chief visionary officer and general producer of WePlay Esports.
“We have been looking for a partner to produce the FIFA World Cup 2022 studios in Qatar for quite some time, and we chose WePlay’s offer among many options. The expertise of this Ukrainian company gained worldwide recognition. Let me refresh your memory: WePlay became one of the companies involved in the studio production of the NFL Tuesday Night Gaming in the USA. The NFL signed a new television contract last year worth $100 billion over 10 years. We hope to be able to offer our users a product that matches the level of the major football event, only happening once in four years, in the middle of a war, and that what lies ahead for us is long-term and fruitful cooperation,” comments Artem Panchenko, MEGOGO Sports section editor-in-chief.
The broadcast of the soccer tournament will be available in Full HD quality on the “MEGOGO Football” channels and in the “Sports” section, available with the “Maximal” and “Sports” subscriptions.
