WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness 2019

Dota 2 tournament with a $100 000 prize pool.
Online tournament WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness 2019 took place between February 10 and 16. The event featured 12 invited teams from Europe and CIS. The teams were competing in a double-elimination bracket for the $100 000 prize pool.
Love and esports can be connected
This tournament proved to be a real challenge for the WePlay! Esports creative team because Dota 2 matches are rarely a suitable setting for love and romantic emotions. To inspire the desired associations, our studio turned into a romantic alcove with a huge bed for the analysts. The invited talents dressed into peculiar clothes were 100% in on the action.
Presence of the most notorious Dota 2 couple Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden and Owen "ODPixel" Davies made a considerable contribution into the love theme. They set together in the studio to give an interview for “Telekritika” about the mutual love for Dota 2, traveling and esports in general. You can find the interview here (the page has a video of them talking in English). (https://telekritika.ua/internet/striming-po-liubvi-kak-prevratit-dota2-v-professiu/).
