There is so much to say about Genshin Impact's phenomenon. The developers created a striking anime design and gameplay that did not leave fans indifferent. Well, it's finally worth noting the cross-platform approach, which focuses on making the game accessible to every player, regardless of their device.

Genshin Impact is a rich world of stories, unbeatable characters, and valuable artifacts that seem limitless. Plus, the game keeps players from getting bored and constantly adds a variety of updates. Thus, the anime-styled game attracts a large audience and, what's more, retains it.

Genshin Impact has gone beyond the casual game and has become an entire movement that thrives on fan support and game-related content. In this article, we should dwell on another distinguishing feature of the game: its fandom.

One of 2020's greatest hits in the gaming industry continues to delight viewers with non-trivial shows covering various game elements: music, characters, lore, and even the esports scene. Here are just a few examples of shows by WePlay Studios that are based on this ground-breaking game.

One True Genshinologist

The world of Genshin Impact, Teyvat, is inexhaustible in its depth and scope. The wide range of characters, locations, and stories is mind-blowing. The creativity of the developers who implement these elements is astonishing. However, the real hidden gem is the fans who effortlessly retain such vast knowledge. WePlay Studios' first Genshin-themed event, One True Genshinologist, was dedicated to knowledge of the game's lore.

One True Genshinologist is a quiz game that encourages US college students, graduates, and Genshin Impact influencers to compete by answering challenging game-related questions. All the action took place on the AR-empowered WePlay Esports Arena Los Angeles, which was transformed with the help of technology into a magical library with flying books and talking in-game characters. To establish an authentic atmosphere, experts recreated the characters from the game from scratch, capturing all the details and accessories. The inaugural Genshin Impact-related event by WePlay Studios amassed 18,272 hours watched and reached a peak of 11,912 concurrent viewers.

Astra Carnival: World Quest

The symbiosis of a culinary, musical show, and trivia is one of the best ideas for content around the game. A little chaotic but undeniably fun show, "Astra Carnival: World Quest" Cook-Off! and "Astra Carnival: World Quest" Music Showdown gave fans unforgettable emotions. Unlike a previous example, the competition wasn't the main focus point, although it added spice to the event. Instead, viewers enjoyed watching the influencers cook dishes just like in the game, play the game music, answer questions, and laugh a lot.

Like all other Genshin-related events produced by WePlay Studios, "Astra Carnival: World Quest" occurred at the WePlay Esports Arena Los Angeles. If you have been following WePlay Studios events for a long time, you have noticed how radical the scene can be transformed by adapting to a specific event. Both shows were rich in props and setting details, turning the stage into a kitchen and music classroom.

Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup Invitational

The gaming industry has witnessed several cases where a game mod has rivaled the popularity of the game itself, and Genius Invokation TCG is just one such example. A series of tournaments popularized the Genshin Impact card game mode and created room for more engaging and esports-related content. WePlay Studios became the official production partner of Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup Invitational, the first international Genius Invokation TCG Tournament series.

Since Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup Invitational was an online-only event without spectators, AR and CG specialists went the extra mile to ensure the WePlay Esports Arena Los Angeles visual component would catch online viewers.

The team found inspiration in in-game locations such as the Mondstadt tavern and meticulously recreated interior details, from the furniture style to the dates on wall calendars and the time displayed on the clock. Cats walking on furniture, game characters sitting at nearby tables, and decorative furniture were also expertly rendered for the best viewing experience. Additionally, they incorporated AR and CG widgets to provide as much informative content as possible during the broadcast. To catch every moment of the show, viewers could look at banners and screens with players' in-game performances and their recent actions.

The live broadcast of Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup Invitational lasted four hours and 40 minutes. At its peak, 22,507 viewers watched the show for a total of 42,526 hours. Among other impressive results, WePlay Studios received platinum awards at the 2023 NYX Video Awards for the project's technical implementation.

The Prince Cup: ATLANTIC

Last but not least is the most recent project on Genius Invokation TCG, The Prince's Cup: ATLANTIC. As a production partner, WePlay Studios organized a three-day tournament where contestants competed for a prize pool of $80,000 and the champion title. The competition was intense and unpredictable: participants from the lower bracket reached the final, while for others, one mistake cost them victory.

The production team also exceeded expectations. Specialists managed to find an ideal formula for combining virtual scenery with real props. One of the main elements of the decorations was the championship cup, which added to the competitive spirit. AR elements, CG video, and many other details that immerse viewers in the game's fantastic world are a must-see for every Genshin Impact fan.

Besides the ground-breaking finale match, The Prince's Cup: ATLANTIC achieved other notable results. The tournament garnered 136,705 hours watched and a peak of 11,016 viewers.
